Odile Vuillemin and Juliette Roudet, Philippe Bas is now teaming up with Shy'm in season 10 of Profilage. Interviewed by PRBK, the interpreter of Thomas Rocher confides on the arrival of Tamara Marthe in the casting, their meeting, their collaboration or the departure of her former teammate.
Adele is not dead

Philippe Bas : In fact, Adèle is not dead. At the end of season 9, there is a kind of image, of perspective which means that when we start season 10, it is not dead compared to the situation. We should not leave with this question, but it is true that it can be confusing. Rocher is a bit distraught after Adèle's disappearance, he no longer has his job. He is facing himself and facing his contradictions. He misses his buddy, he tries to manage as best he can. He takes advantage of his suspension. We find him in bad shape.
We were lucky because she told us quickly enough. It was really his wish, there were no questions to ask. It's self-respecting, I want her to be happy. I have always been on his side. I just lived it. The producers wanted to continue with another character, it's a stroke of luck for the public and for us.
Shy'm brought something that belongs to him
I thought it was a great decision and a very good idea. When I tried it out, I figured it was just the person we needed. It was unanimous and when we started working, it was obvious.
How was your meeting?
Great. In addition, it was not easy because I worked with two great and very different actresses. It was high level. So, I had no expectations, but I am someone who has confidence in life. It went very well with Tamara. She is very different from the two previous actresses, she cannot suffer from comparison because it goes otherwise. She brought something that belongs to her. I knew immediately that she was playing very well and fairly. She had what it took and that is the most important.
People will be pleasantly surprised when they see Tamara
Some internet users have not validated the arrival of Tamara ( Shy'm ), what would you have to answer them?
I find it pretty good. It means that people wonder, that they are interested. So I understand this reaction, I can't blame people. Afterwards, I think they will be pleasantly surprised when they see Tamara. They will change their minds. She's a really good actress. We are very lucky to have it. I found it great right away.
How is his character different from Chloé and Adèle?
In his journey. It gives a new identity to a psycho-criminologist, finally who has the capacity to be, because she does not come from a school. The cracks are not the same and the construction of his character is limitless. He is a very interesting character to develop.
The series has apparently been rewritten along the way, why?
It's always rewritten along the way. Often, I have the latest version of the script a week before the shooting or during the shooting. There have also been changes in planning and scenery. We wanted to go on one plot, we finally changed our mind and we went on another, we thought it would work better. It was mainly for questions of timing and writing.
